Santiago with kids or in a group, apartments with three or more bedrooms

For a family or a group, an apartment is often easier than two or three hotel rooms. There is a kitchen and a living room to get together in, and cleaning is charged only once. We have several apartments with three or more bedrooms, or room for six or more guests.

Where they are

Mostly in Santiago Centro (downtown) and Providencia, and a few in Las Condes. In Providencia the range goes up to four bedrooms. Each listing shows its exact capacity.

Price

At mrbnb.cl/reservar you pick dates and number of guests, and each apartment shows the total for the stay. Cleaning is charged once per stay, not per night, so on a stay of several days it adds little. You can also filter by bedrooms. From 7 nights the nightly price drops 10%. The search is in English; the apartment pages and the checkout are still in Spanish.

What is nearby

It depends on the area. In Las Condes there is Parque Araucano, across from the Parque Arauco mall, with playgrounds, sports courts and a rose garden. In Providencia, Parque Bustamante and Parque Balmaceda are good for an afternoon walk, and you can go up Cerro San Cristóbal by funicular or cable car. Downtown, Cerro Santa Lucía is free to enter, and the Bellas Artes and Pre-Columbian museums are close to Plaza de Armas.

Tap water is safe to drink throughout Santiago. In an emergency, the ambulance number is 131 and the police (Carabineros) 133.

Before you book

Check that the listing's capacity matches your group, counting the kids. If you need a crib, ask for it before you arrive: it has a nightly fee and depends on availability. If you are coming by car, ask for parking when you book; not every building has a space.
